Graduation didn’t always seem a sure thing for Josiah, as he explains, “I was failing. I was not going to school. I didn’t want to come here, but coming made me realize that there’s many doors open and lots of opportunities. I was able to get caught up and graduate early.” ![]() JanessaWith a single credit left to finish high school, Janessa was in a tough situation, and the format of traditional high school just didn’t fit.
“They wanted me to attend for the whole year for less than 1 credit!” Island Park, with self-paced classes where you can graduate as soon as you finish, was a game changer, allowing her to fast-track her education, get her work done faster, and pursue full-time employment. ![]() ZakkaryZakkary has something to share with students considering enrolling at Island Park: “It’s going to be different than any high school experience you went through,” he says, before clarifying: “It’s not a bad difference. Honestly, could be a better fit. You don’t have to worry about drama or anything like that. Just come in, do your work, look forward to seeing your friends. But mostly, do your work so you can get done.” ![]() LujensAfter emigrating with his brother while their father stayed in Haiti, Lujens once again looked to take control. “Moving from another country, I didn’t have the credits. So, I did my research. I was browsing online and found this school. They said it as accelerated, but I wasn’t expecting this. I didn’t think I’d finish by May, but now I’m done. I almost went too fast. It works! And it shows in my GPA." Read Lujens' full story here![]() Marissa“It’s not like regular school… there’s no drama here. I felt comfortable right away. Like I’d already been going here for years. It’s been great. Teachers help a lot. If I need to review for an exam, they break it down for me, and it makes it easier. Everybody is so nice.” Read Marissa's full story here |
